Most analytics tools give you a dashboard and leave you to figure out what the numbers mean. e-comProfitAgent works differently. You connect your store, and every morning you receive a single briefing telling you where your profit is going and what to do about it today.

This is a walkthrough of how that actually works.

Step 1 — Connect your Shopify store

The first thing you do is connect your Shopify store via OAuth. This takes about 60 seconds. Once connected, the platform pulls your orders, products, revenue, refund data, and inventory automatically. No CSV uploads. No manual data entry. No ongoing maintenance.

From that point, your store data syncs every time you log in. The platform knows your revenue, your order volume, your average order value, your top products by units sold, and your refund rate per SKU.

Step 2 — Enter your COGS

Shopify doesn't know what it costs you to make your products. That's the one thing you need to add manually — your cost of goods per SKU. Once entered, the platform can calculate true net margin per product: revenue minus COGS, minus Shopify fees, minus fulfilment costs, minus attributed ad spend, minus returns.

That number — true net margin — is the one that actually matters. Not gross revenue. Not platform-reported ROAS. What you actually keep after everything.

Step 3 — Set your business vertical

In the API settings page, you select your product category — skincare, supplements, pet food, fashion, and so on. This is how the platform knows which brands to benchmark you against. From that point, every metric in your briefing is compared against verified Shopify brands in your vertical.

This matters because a 2.1× True ROAS means something completely different for a supplements brand versus a fashion brand. Context is everything in profit analysis, and vertical benchmarking provides that context.

Step 4 — The Profit Agent runs overnight

Every night at 2am, your Profit Agent runs across your connected store. It analyses your paid performance, SKU-level margin, customer retention signals, cashflow position, and how your metrics compare against verified brands in your vertical.

This isn't a simple calculation. The Profit Agent runs specialist sub-agents in parallel — each focused on one domain — and an orchestration layer validates their findings for consistency before producing your briefing. If sub-agents produce contradictory outputs, the inconsistency is resolved before anything reaches you.

Step 5 — Your morning briefing arrives

By 6am you have a briefing. It contains your Profit Health Score (0-100, benchmarked against your vertical), the specific profit leaks identified in your data with estimated monthly cost, ranked opportunities with revenue uplift estimates, three priority actions for today, and any alerts that need immediate attention.

The briefing is specific to your store. Not generic advice. Actual numbers from your actual data, with actual recommendations that apply to your situation.

What's inside the platform

Overview

The Overview page shows your Profit Agent briefing summary at the top — the key findings from last night's run — followed by your four core metric cards and your SKU profit ranking table showing which products are scaling, which need reviewing, and which are margin-negative.

Profit Agent

The Profit Agent view is the full daily briefing. Every section is live data from your store — profit leaks with estimated monthly cost, opportunities with revenue uplift estimates, your three priority actions, and your scaling readiness assessment showing whether your unit economics support increasing acquisition spend.

Benchmarks

The Benchmarks view shows how your metrics compare against verified Shopify brands in your vertical across six key metrics: True ROAS, net margin, CAC, 12-month LTV, refund rate, and MER. You see where you sit relative to the bottom 25%, median, and top 25% of brands in your space.

As more UK DTC brands connect to the platform, benchmark accuracy improves for every brand in that vertical. That's the data flywheel — more merchants means better benchmarks for everyone.

Profit Intelligence

The Profit Intelligence section covers the detailed views — Real profit, Cashflow, Blended ROAS & MER, SKU & inventory, LTV cohort analysis, and Unit economics. Each view lets you go deeper when the morning briefing flags something that needs investigation.

What makes this different

The fundamental difference between e-comProfitAgent and a standard analytics dashboard is that the platform tells you what to do, not just what happened.

A dashboard shows you that your ROAS dropped. e-comProfitAgent tells you that your True ROAS on a specific SKU dropped to 1.9× — below your 2.4× threshold — and that reducing spend on that SKU would recover an estimated amount in margin. Then it tells you that's priority action number one for today.

That's the difference between data and intelligence. The Profit Agent does the analysis. You make the call.

Pricing

Standard DTC is £99/month. Shopify Plus is £199/month. Both plans come with a 90-day free trial — no card required, no commitment. Connect your store, get your first briefing, see whether it changes how you run your business.

The trial starts the moment you connect your Shopify store. Your first briefing runs the same night.
